As my wife and I rambled around the USA last spring, we saw lots of country but only a few old friends. Linda — in Mason City, Iowa — was one of them.
I had not seen Linda in 23 years, so she and I had lots to talk about. But what would my wife and Linda’s sister have to talk about? To their mutual surprise, Barbara and Jan were inseparable. My wife was about to take a Shabori dyeing workshop in Japan and Jan had lived in Japan for years. Both love fabric and how clothes are made.
