No, my brother does not so good. When this photo was taken, his cancer was wide-spread and none of the treatments he had received had done much. William Bennett Schweers died on June 24, 2023, at age 71 in southern California, surrounded by family, God bless them!
Visiting him before he died was one of the reasons my wife and I drove to California from Delaware, just to be with him and his family for a few hours. No, his son does not look so good in this photo either. I have blacked out his face because he doesn’t want to be on social media.
DANNY TO REBECCA: Thanks, Rebecca! Sorry for your loss. My brother and I were not that close. All the same, it feels like one of the constants in my life is now missing. I was already six years old when he was born, so I do have some dim memory of a world in which he was not present, but that was over 70 years ago.
