Words like petals fall
from a poet’s pencil.
Walk a pink path.
Photo of a cherry tree and the petal-covered path below it in the Village of Arden, Delaware. Photo Prayer 2026-10; photo and text copyright 2026 by Danny Nelson Schweers.
The blooming cherry tree in front of my home makes me think of Japan and poets writing haiku. While each poem may be short, each word like a petal, the millions of them are like a blizzard, books like snow plows.

Magical! [DANNY REPLIED – For me it is magical how scenes reveal themselves to photographers and how words pop into the minds of writers. All we have to do is press the shutter release and write down the words. The credit is not ours to take. Yes, we work, but who doesn’t?]
